Since the manpage seems to be borked, I'm going to have to ask here for help.
Since maybe a week ago, I got the latest awesome from git, and now my windows seem to be snapping to everything... borders of the screen, borders of other programs, etc. It's REALLY annoying, and I'd like to turn it off!
Also, windows seem to be opening behind the status bar since about that time, and I'd like to find the settings for programs not opening in certain area's...

Using tiling window managers to be in float mode, using Linux to run windows games with Wine.... How doesn't that make perfect sense to you ?
The day Microsoft makes a product that doesn't suck, is the day they make a vacuum cleaner.

But if they tell you that I've lost my mind, maybe it's not gone just a little hard to find...

I think this may be the relevant bit of the man page:
client:mouse_move
Move a client with mouse.
Parameter: An optional table with keys: 'snap´ for pixel to snap (default to 8), and 'infobox´ to enable or disable the coordinates and dimensions box (default to enabled).
And floting in tiling wm's makes perfect sense for some applications. For example, it is almost impossible to use gimp without having it on a floating layer/layout.

Then be a macho a don't use GIMP. In fact, don't use X at all!

A lot of programs are better non-tiled. I like the idea of tiled window managers, but I also like being able to use it as a normal window manager.
Also, I used to play wow through wine. I don't see the problem...

An outdated manpage. I didn't remove awesome properly from the AUR before I started compiling it so have had that one hanging around...I assume the are in the process of rewriting the documentation.

lol.. i wonder how they do it... updating a complete manpage twice a day seems rather hard work to me
