libxft-cleartype vs. libxft-lcd

I just got an LCD and was reading about how to improve the fonts.  Am I better off installing the libxft-cleartype package from AUR, or the libxft-lcd package?

try *-ubuntu packages - worked best for me (and other people ;-) )
Also run as root:

ln -s /etc/fonts/conf.avail/10-sub-pixel-rgb.conf /etc/fonts/conf.d/

to enable subpixel rendering (will smooth fonts)
