Hi folks!
If I try to open a URL from a Terminal-Window FireFox opens a new window and tries to load 2 pages:
www.%u.com and the real page I want to open. (While the %u-tab keeps the focus)
It's somehow strange since opening URLs via pidgin or similar apps works like expected.
(Open a new tab, load the page and pass the focus to it)
Does anyone experience similar behavior or has a solution to this annoying problem?

Is that the XFCE Terminal or something? Check its settings (personally I don't use it, so I don't know if this will turn out to be useful); try to determine how it "opens links" (i.e. what arguments it passes to the WWW browser). Or perhaps such settings are visible/modifiable somewhere else as far as XFCE goes. Check your settings.

Hi,
This is the solution:
xfce4 preferred applications -> browser -> changed it from "firefox" to "Mozilla Firefox" and it works.
The ~/.local/share/xfce4/helpers/custom-WebBrowser.desktop contained a bug:
X-XFCE-CommandsWithParameter=firefox "%u" "%s"
What I still do not get is how this file was created; maybe due migration from ff2 to ff3?!
Another thing is, that a "self build" run fine, even with the old setting; something is still very confusing...
