CSS problems. FF3 on Linux vs Windows

I have ff3 on Arch, through pacman, and ff3 on Windows XP, through mozilla.org. Each browser shows the site differently. I have no idea what the problem is. Firefox in Arch renders the text smoothly. Konqueror renders the text smoothly as well., except the text isn't as bold looking, but it is good enough. Opera in Arch renders it correctly too. Even IE7 renders it better than firefox3. Maybe it has something to do with the binary. Please let me know how it looks for you.

ff3-linux.jpg opera-linux.jpg konqueror-linux.jpg ie7-winxp.bmp, FF3 on Arch, Opera on Arch, Konqueror on Arch, and IE7 on Windows XP. Those are all pretty acceptable, then we have FF3 on Windows XP. The text looks all jagedy.

Windows and ff3.

Thanks,
Zack

I believe so because IE renders it ok.

Re: CSS problems. FF3 on Linux vs Windows

Check the default size of Firefox3 in Windows.  I noticed a difference when I checked several development websites in Windows.  I found that the default size for Firefox3 in Windows was smaller than in Arch.  I did a CNTL + and I got the normal size again.

Maybe that will help.

I tried the ctrl + clickwheel and it zooms/enlarges the text, but it doesn't help the rendering at all, thanks for the suggestion though.

IE7 has ClearType on by default (separate from the rest of the windows desktop), if you want firefox to use it you'll need to enable it system wide.
