Thunar + SSHFS = no go

My laptop is working nicely on XFCE now, but the one thing that doesn't work is browsing a directory that I have mounted via sshfs.  In Thunar, when I click on that directory, I can view it for a second, and then for some reason it automatically goes back up to the parent directory.  Anyone else have this issue?

Re: Thunar + SSHFS = no go

Stop fam/gamin if they are running. Check /etc/rc.conf.

Re: Thunar + SSHFS = no go

Use Thunar + gamin. Thunar + FAM is known to cause problem when trying to open sshfs mounted folder. I've been using Thuar with gamin for almost 2 months now without any problem (it works nicely with sshfs, among other things), so I suggest you try gamin out. wink

Re: Thunar + SSHFS = no go

If you want to use fam, in /etc/fuse.conf (if It doesn't exist, create it) add:

user_allow_other

And then mount it with extra option:

-o allow_other

This has been in the forum before and this solves it for me (at least).

Re: Thunar + SSHFS = no go

I had this issue with FAM, as well. Gamin FTW!
