I can't change the time in KDE. I right click the time, then "Adjust Date & Time", it asks me for the root user's password, I type it in (I did set it), and it says it's incorrect. I type it in again, it says it's incorrect.

I don't use KDE so I'm not sure but is it possible that its asking for your user password not roots password?

Definately asking for root password in my case. Only explanation is that you're entering your root password in wrong.
