firefox kde MIME

I have libgnome installed but still the only apps firefox knows about is flash. Apparently the only reasonable way to fix this would be to use a mimetypes.rdf. Does anyone where i can get one which integrates firefox with kfmclient, similar to opera's behaviour.

http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Integrate_Firefox_with_KDE
I used kfmclient for everything, so far so good.

Re: firefox kde MIME

The code trick did not work. I followed the directions in the gentoo wiki, but still when I double click any downloaded file nothing happens nor does kfmclient come as an "open with" option when clicking any download link. I am planning to write an extension to solve this. I have to learn how to make an extension first!

Re: firefox kde MIME

about;config ->
string:value (ie that is the legend for the line under, ie network..... is the string to add and the value is the path or name of the sh script)
network.protocol-handler.app.file;<nametobashscript>

#!/bin/sh
kfmclient exec $1

The downside to this is that all files are handled by kfmclient.

Re: firefox kde MIME

Should this affect the firefox Downloads window as well?
It doesn't seem to work on my end.
