mkinitcpio fails

Hi all,
i have two strange problems i don't know to solve. Problem started after upgrade of kernel using pacman (as was many times mentioned and solved in the forum):
Loading root filesystem module...
Attempting to create root device '/dev/hda2'
ERROR: Failed to parse block device name for '/dev/hda2' unknown
ERROR: root fs cannot be detected.  Try using rootfstype= kernel parameter.
Waiting for devices to settle...done.

Root device '/dev/hda2' doesn't exist, attempting to create it
ERROR: Failed to parse block device name for '/dev/hda2'
ERROR: Unable to create/detect root device "/dev/hda2'
Dropping to recovery shell...type 'exit' to reboot
NOTE: klibc contains no 'ls' binary, use 'echo *' instead

While trying to solve the problem i've chrooted into the installation using gentoo live cd and made system upgrade using pacman -Sy, tried to rename disk devices from hdXX to sdXX in fstab and grub's menu.lst but no success.
Then i've discovered that while upgrading kernel, there are problems during mkinitcpio is building HOOKS for reiserfs:

Filesystem of the Archlinux installations is ReiserFS so i think there is the problem. But i'm really lost in finding solution for this problem.
Thanks in advance for any help,
S.

Re: mkinitcpio fails

Could you please post your /etc/mkinitcpio.conf here?  In the MODULES array of that conf file you should have "reiserfs" listed; if it isn't, this could be the source of the error.
