Very weird problem with gnome-volume-manager

I'm having a very weird problem with gnome volume manager, I wonder if other people have experienced it too? Only with GVM, when I change the volume, sometimes it goes completely random and moves erratically. No problem when setting the volume with alsamixer or mplayer, for example. I suppose there must be some kind of conflict, but I cant see what?

Autojump, the fastest way to navigate your filesystem from the command line!

Re: Very weird problem with gnome-volume-manager

I have the same problem with gnome at my desktop and laptop. The left and right channel change differently and sometimes the volume drops to 0 and back.

Re: Very weird problem with gnome-volume-manager

have you added alsa to your rc.conf?
or probably run alsaconf as root to configure your card.
best wishes
