MythTV - Scans ok, can get EPG, but can't watch TV.

I'm having a bit of trouble with MythTV. I've managed to get my DVB-T stick working mostly with it; as it can detect all the local channels and grab the EPG for them. But when I press 'Watch TV', the screen goes black, the light on the stick goes on for a couple of seconds, and then goes back to the menu. Here is the output from the console:

Recording a program doesn't work either (although not the same error, mythbackend crashes).

Has anyone else had the same problem, or can push me in the right direction? I'm using a Freecom DVB-T USB Stick, which when connected calls inself a 'WideView WT-220U PenType Receiver' inside dmesg and MythTV

It's ok now. Discovered I hadn't set the storage directories properly. I had to put /home/andy/mythspace rather than ~/mythspace.
