Hey. I've got a problem with launching Firefox, both in KDE and Gnome. When I run it from taskbar/menu, the instance opens correctly, but then a "Firefox - loading application" bracket hangs for several seconds in the taskbar. Moreover, it is located after the desired instance (as if it had started loading after being loaded ). That's really annoying, since you expect the newly application to be the last one in the taskbar. When I launch it from console, it acts correctly (except for displaying
(firefox:9075): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.
).
Thanks for help.

I don't know why firefox doesn't load properly, but you should be able to fix your locale by editing /etc/locale.gen (uncomment what you need), and running locale-gen as root. Make sure you at least include the locale you set in /etc/rc.conf.
For lack of better words: chair, never, toothbrush, really. Ohw, and fish!

Thanks. I had a typo in rc.conf, however, a correction didn't solve the problem. The fix was to uncheck "enable launch feedback" in item properties in KDE menu. Seems that FF doesn't support it too well.
