Arch CrossCode Background

I have been using one of favorite wallpapers from here http://www.imjtk.com/images/CrossCode.jpg for quite some time and I decided to make a Arch version of it. The author from the website said :

This was the background I used myself on my old D2 Gentoo box, and the code is from Shopping Kert. If you like it, download it and use it in good health. If you use it, how 'bout a link to imjtk.com.

http://www.imjtk.com

Anyway I hope you all enjoy it. I used the Gimp to remove the banner and added a nice transparent Arch symbol in the middle. The image is in 1680 × 1050 widescreen resolution format.

BTW I emailed the author and I have permission to modify and post the wallpaper!!!

Thanks

Re: Arch CrossCode Background

I like it, but I have to say that the Arch logo seems out of place as is. It somewhat conflicts with the crossing designs. I think it might suit the wallpaper better to be placed in one of the corners away from the design, perhaps larger. Or, to make it fit in the middle, maybe bring it above the design so that it stands out on top instead of being covered.

Re: Arch CrossCode Background

Sounds good. I might give it a go. Hmmm I just got to figure out how to move the logo. It took me awhile to figure out how to merge the image in the middle. I am kinda of a novice when it comes to the gimp.

Thanks

Re: Arch CrossCode Background

Any ideals on where to begin? If I can figure it out I am going to make the logo darker.

Thanks

Re: Arch CrossCode Background

Just toy with size, placement, and brightness of the logo.

Psst, here is an example of something I'd do. If he asks, you did it. smile

Re: Arch CrossCode Background

You should keep the distance from the bottom and right edges in case someone keeps a panel there. Otherwise, it's great!
