request : HTTP protocol suport to pacman!

here in portugal we managed (we = jlvsimoes to get an ISP to mirror archlinux. The point is that mirror to the outside of the network the ftp doesnt work, so we would like to be able to do pacman -Syu and it would fetch the files via http

hope that's not to dificult to manage

FYI, it has already been requested there: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=578&highlight=

I hope to have this feature being implemented soon.
In the same time, if it could also cope with proxies, it would be just fine

para usar o darkstar com ftp meter assim no pacman.conf
ftp://darkstar.ist.utl.pt/pub/
sim o pub esta la mas por http é opcional
to use the darkstar pt mirro with pacman please put the /pub
like this
on the pacman.conf
Server = ftp://darkstar.ist.utl.pt/pub/archlinux/current
