[SOLVED] Incorrect kernel version for driver

Is there an nvidia driver around here somewhere for kernel 2.6.22-ARCH? I installed the 2007 release, but only because the 2008 release gave me a kernel panic, so I'm kind of afraid to upgrade my kernel. Another option would be to get the 2.6.24 kernel, since Dr Small had an old nvidia driver for it. Thanks in advance

You can easily build it using ABS.

Re: [SOLVED] Incorrect kernel version for driver

ABS isn't working. I installed it and installed csup, however when I run it it can't connect to whatever it's connecting to:

Cannot connect to 66.211.213.17: Connection refused
Cannot connect to 66.211.213.17: Connection refused

ABS uses rsync and not csup.  You will need to check that your rsync port is open

How would I check if my rsync port is open? Installing rsync didn't fix anything

Re: [SOLVED] Incorrect kernel version for driver

Well, good news! I upgraded my kernel (fearfully), and I didn't get a kernel panic (I did with the latest arch 2008 release)! Now the nvidia driver works! big_smile
