Archlinux and kernels - SOLVED

Hi all,

New Archer here.  I couldn't find what I was looking for in the Wiki, so I ask here.  I am new to Archlinux.  My question is when a new kernel is introduced, would I need to compile it in order to use it?

New major kernel version is going to be put into the core repo after some time in the testing repo. You don't need to compile anything.
