Dealing with bad sectors during install

Hi there,

I want to install Arch on a Seagate HD I know it has bad sectors for sure. These bad LBAs could not be repaired by Seatools for DOS.

I think the Arch installer does not check for bad sectors during partition formatting. Is there a way to do just that for a safer install?

Any other suggestions? (other than getting a new HD )

Check HDD Regenerator, OS independent.  Look in google for website.
