hi,
I reinstall arch-ppc from scratch in another partition, all go OK,
when rebooting I view this message:
...Cannot access the hardware clock ...
I found this bug-report about this
http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/9636
and then I try to apply patch: http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/9636?getfile=1945
but I have:
patch -Np1 -i /home/sacarde/0001-rtc0.patch
patching file rc.sysinit
Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Skipping patch.
2 out of 2 hunks ignored -- saving rejects to file rc.sysinit.rej
what means.....
can I resolv this problem ( if it is a problem) !
thankyou
p.s.
in my old archlinuxppc in old partition go very well, without that message

Umm, same here.
Did notice this a couple of weeks ago, but was too busy to dig into this until now (ya know, master's thesis due...).
Anyways, i didn't apply the patch as the stuff already is in my rc.sysinit.
Talking about a G3 Powerbook Pismo here...
Greetings,
Florian

thanks to kth5 that has made a new kernel with module: rtc_ppc
and I add rtc_ppc to my modules array in rc.conf
..... and
now there is no error message
thanks
