Something very weird is going on. Whenever I try to print any file from an application that requires the Gnome printing dialog (i.e., Evince, Firefox), I cannot see the printer in the list (I can only print to file), but I can print just fine from Openoffice, for example.
Now, where am I supposed to investigate? I have tried to install things like system-config-printer and gnome-cups-manager, and even to follow this tutorial (i.e., allowing users to manage CUPS), but I can't find a solution.
Thanks for your help
