So:
If I ssh to my server and run irssi, I can type and see Unicode okay.
In my screen session, I can type and see Unicode okay.
In irssi inside screen, I can type Unicode, and it shows up in the input bar okay. But...
When I send the text to the channel, it appears garbled to me. So does Unicode typed by others. People report that my Unicode displays correctly for them. When I copy my input it remains garbled when pasted.
This is only the case for most characters, some work okay.
What the hell?
