Some HAL issues

Both me and my friend have this issue, we have both looked through the web to no luck.
Whenever we try to mount any kind of storage device(USB mouse works fine, but that doesnt matter since you dont mount them), we recieve this error:

A security policy in place prevents this sender from sending this message to this recipient, see message bus configuration file (rejected message had interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" member "Mount" error name "(unset)" destination "org.freedesktop.Hal")

We would both appreciate any help,
Thanks,
Thomas

Re: Some HAL issues

The simplest way is:

sudo gpasswd -a <username> storage

This adds your user to the "storage" group, which is already defined in hal.conf as having access to USB volumes.
