waimea

i have taken waimea some time ago to maintain - it was already in the repos, but long ago since updated

searching for info for the web, i found, that ceveral pkgs are missing (libsvg, libsvg-cairo, ...) ... after some collecting, i finally have a waimea working and updated in unstable

it is cvs, but as the whole project is not releasing milestones, i think this is ok

the waimea in extra is the old one - it is totally different to the waimea-cvs in unstable, because in the meanwhile, a lot of things changed on waimea

Re: waimea

A total rewrite of configuration files. XML related. Clean interface. Yet, 0.5.0 is a start. I installed it and it works. Have not tried any of the config changes yet. Still using Flux....

Re: waimea

I hope they get a good configuration util going. XML by hand is not fun.

Re: waimea

This release of waimea has a lot of promise. I look in the CVS repository and there has been no work for at least 2 months? The source looks really clean. I am looking forword to future releases.

Re: waimea

You are right about XML editor's, they make it easy to modify the menu among others. I will watch the developement of waimea. It really looks promising. Especially since it belong to in the same group of dev's as Xorg.
