Hey guys, I'm having trouble getting AIM and Google Talk to connect over bitlbee, although my msn works fine.
AIM gets an error saying it can't log in, and Google Talk gets an error saying it can't connect to the server. Here are the commands I'm using:
acount add oscar <user> <pass> login.oscar.aol.com
and:
account add jabber <user> <pass> talk.google.com:5223:ssl
any help?
EDIT: nvm...I switched from using one of those public servers to my own, and it worked =P

ok, now I'm wonderin' how do I change my default nick. When I connect to bitlbee, I'm given the nick "weechat_user" and when I try to change it, I get the following:
The hand of the deity is upon thee, thy nick may not change (weechat_user)
any ideas?

For gmail
port 5222
server talk.google.com
file transfer proxy (if you need) proxy.jabber.org:7777
disable SSL
Penguins do it better

EDIT: someone helped me on IRC to fix it . I just added a server definition to my weechat.rc

I have to same problem. Instead of exercising their sense of humor, maybe they should give you a more informative error message.
