Now that KDE4.1 has just about arrived, I think there should be a section here for KDEmod. Many people use Arch just for KDEmod, and its another one of those things that make arch special and unique. What do you say guys ?

I vote No. Kdemod is a separate project and is not included any of the Arch repositories. Kdemod has their own forum as well I believe, perhaps a link to the forum somewhere would suffice.

yes it will. Something like a "virtual" section, which instead of directing us to a forum here, directs to kdemod site.

I *always* like consolidation. Yes yes yes yes yes.
It's bad enough I have to register at the bug tracker and the forum and the wiki and aur here. I like how at LinuxQuestions.org I can browse a ton of distros' forums without having to go all through the internet and register 50 gajillion times.
I created NCAAbbs.com because I was tired of doing the same crap to talk to college sports fans of other teams.
Bring it together all under one roof I say.

I know what you mean about managing several accounts, but then again where do we stop? If we bring in KDEmod then by all rights we need a section for FaunOS, and every other Arch-related project ever dreamed up. It's just not practical, especially when KDEmod (and other projects) already have dedicated resources for their respective communities.

If Arch user votes count in this, count me as a "no" for creating a KDEmod forum on the official Arch forums.

No to a whole forum, yes to a link to their forums

Maybe you could ask for enabling guest posting without registration at the kdemod forums. I have this at archlinux.de since ages and I think its quite nice. Sometimes you just want to drop a line or ask a single question.

I don't think this would ever fly, but since everyone else is putting in their word I'll add another thumbs down to this.
archlinux - please read this and this — twice — then ask questions.
