Do I have to upgrade to KDE 4?

Hi I have tried kde 4 in the passed and have found that I really dont like it. Today while upgrading my packages, I found out that it was asking me to replace a bunch of kde apps with other packages (ie. kdeaddons with plasma). So I came to the conclusion that it wanted me to upgrade to kde 4. I really do not want to upgrade, it there any way to not upgrade? thanks in advance.

PS. Is this kde 4.1? if not, when will it come out?

Yes it's KDE 4.1.

If you want to use KDE 3.5, you can use kdemod.

Re: Do I have to upgrade to KDE 4?

are you sure it is KDE 4.1, cause I saw on the arch homepage that 4.1 is in testing...
Anyway, why have they done this? kde 3.5.10 is still yet to be released, 4 and 3.5 should be different packages and those who wish to upgrade should do so manually.

Yes, it is KDE 4.1 - if you want to discuss it, I suggest you use the thread linked by audaly.  (closed for topic duplication)
