I have a new Thinkpad, which I installed Arch on (first time with Arch). I've been following the tweaks mentioned in the wiki article on my thinkpad (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/IBM_Thinkpad_T61), and now I'm at the section about HDAPS. Is it worth it to do this whole kernel juggling (whcih I have no clue how to do) to get HDAPS working? Should I worry about it? Thanks.

I haven't bothered on mine (a t41), it really depends how likley you are to drop your laptop...
Installing the kernel26-tp package from the AUR should be streightforward; Download the tarball, untar it, run makepkg, run pacman -U, and edit your grub boot menu. It will take a while to compile though, and you'll also need to build modules for it (madwifi, nvidia etc if you use them), but I think they are also in the AUR.

Well, I don't plan on dropping it anytime soon, and I doubt I will, so I think I'll forgo it. Thanks.
