ATI Graphic card Usiing Catalyst

Hi fellas,
I´ve installed archlinux and following xorg-server and firstly i did install the xf86-video-ati package, i could see the xdm normally but my mouse and keyboard didnt work at all.
There goes the error:

(II) LoadModule: "kbd"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module kbd
(II) UnloadModule: "kbd"
(EE) Failed to load module "kbd" (module does not exist, 0)
(II) LoadModule: "mouse"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module mouse
(II) UnloadModule: "mouse"
(EE) Failed to load module "mouse" (module does not exist, 0)
(EE) No drivers available.

after that i tried to install catalyst and then when running the aticonfig --initial that error came up
Uninitialised file found, configuring
Segmentation fault.

Any idea ?

Re: ATI Graphic card Usiing Catalyst

For an ATI Rage, you probably don't want catalyst.  Those errors mean you should install xf86-input-keyboard and xf86-input-mouse I think

Hi Cerebral,
thanks for the reply.
I also tried to run startlxde but nothing happens... It just get stuck and if i do press ctrl+c it goes back to bash,
Is it because i didn't fix the xorg issue yet?

Re: ATI Graphic card Usiing Catalyst

I don't even know what startlxde is supposed to do.  It might be because of that.
