Hey guys!
I wanted to reinstall Arch64. But when it comes to install packages the installation fails: "Dependency cycle detected: ** will be installed before its glibc dependency". I tried the core and the ftp install cd. checksums are allright. Normally I would do a pacman -f, but it's in the setup.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

is not a problem. is just a warning. continue your setup and ignore that

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

It says: Installation failed

Is there an easy possibility to take a screenshot in the console?

Can I force the installation?

Bug 9177 is not a big deal. It is only a warning, so just ignore it.
Now if the installation fails, that is more problematic, and you need to give us much more information. How can we guess why the installation failed?
Tell us the errors you see.
pacman roulette : pacman -S $(pacman -Slq | LANG=C sort -R | head -n $((RANDOM % 10)))

Okay, I thought, THAT was the reason. But so I will look again.
/Edit: The problem was, that GRUB complained about an existing /boot/grub/menu.lst ![]()
