Kooka support dropped in kde4. Replacements?

Hi!

Since kooka was dropped from kdegraphics4 because of the lack of development, I was wondering if there is going to be a replacement. I actually liked the functionality of kooka pretty much (especially compared to things like xsane). Also the KDE integration made it look more pretty than the available alternatives (yes, again, it's all about looking good.... hehehe).

I was searching a bit for alternatives or information about future planes on kooka or eventual replacements, but did not find anything useful.

Does anyone know what is planed or what the KDE devs are up to?

KolourPaint can scna directly. You can also install skanlite which is similar to Kooka.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of skanlite nur the fact that KolourPaint can scan....
