[SOLVED] EEEPC 900 internal microphone issue

I can't get my internal microphone working at all. I followed the instructions on the wiki, but they did not help.

I'm running twofishes latest kernel. I turned up everything in alsamixer -V all. Sound works fine, but no mic.

Is the mic on an eeePC 900 working for anyone?

Mic is fixed in kernel 2.6.27-rc1

Works for me now with the new release (check the changelog for details, maybe it can be back ported), but the mic is not very good quality and the recordings come out too quite even with things turned all the way up. I'm just going to get a headset...

As an aside, I built network drivers externally as modules since the patches don't work with the new kernel for me. Otherwise everything works well with the 900 (occasional issues with card reader, but I think the new 0802 bios fixes that, will know soon).
