i shut down my machine last night,then turned it on this morning,and got this on the screen---1: Analog input cannot display this video mode)---i was able to see,and chose arch linux or fall back or command line,i have no idea what to do,did not change anything, please help

Sounds like your monitor is unable to show whatever your xorg.conf settings are putting out. In text mode look at your xorg.conf file. It will most likely be a resolution, refresh rate or maybe color depth problem. Try setting the default color from 24 to 16 for example. I don't know why it would have changed between yesterday and today though.

ok,im still really new at this but all i get is this if i press "c" for command line grub> i cant even get to a terminal

ok,fixed it YEAH! it was some thing to do with grub,i tried all the monitor settings,and it did nothing,then installed grub,from the fall back,worked!!!thanks folks--CRAZY STUFF
