SCSI error on write(-6,16): key=5 asc=21h ascq=02h. That's what Brasero says. K3b crashes, Graveman doesn't work either. Hardware: a T61p Laptop - 64bit archlinux

I have the same problem with brasero, too.
I have a ThinkPad T61, and ArchLinux x86 on it.
In my case, when I tried to burn the data files, It worked fine.
But, when I tried to burn CD from .iso image, I had following errors.
:
:
BraseroLibburn asked to stop because of an error
error = 1
message = "SCSI error on write(-6,16): key=5 asc=21h ascq=02h"
BraseroLibburn stopping
Session error : SCSI error on write(-6,16): key=5 asc=21h ascq=02h (brasero_burn_record burn.c:2369)
regards.

I have the same problem. CD Burning has been really buggy for a while...

nautilus-burn stuff works great. no need for rubbish third-party apps like brasero. tried with 0.8.1 from aur; they claim iso recording works now, it seems to not work.
x86-64 here, compal el80.
cheers!
a nail that sticks out, is hammered down.
aha.

cdrecord -v dev=/dev/sr0 /path/to/iso FTW. I've never liked the GUI's because I burn coasters more often than not.

IBM T60P i686, getting the same error as OP.
The cdrecord command worked very well, thanks.
