Awesome + Guild Wars

I have been having some issues running Guild Wars with Awesome (occurs in both the community build and the awesome-git (2008-08-05) build). The problem is that I get a constant downward-left movement while in mouse look mode. This occurs regardless of if the mouse is moving or not, though I am still able to move the mouse and recieve some control of the mouse look. The game is run floating (tiling displays nothing but it is not an issue). Any suggestions on what to do?
