Re: Arch Case Badges

I don't have any 4 silver and 1 white orders in the spreadsheet, but I can change your order and send a new payment request. Can you e-mail me with your name and e-mail address (I'm guessing its eaglewolf?) so I change the right order?

Thanks,
Dusty

Re: Arch Case Badges

You receive mail on Saturdays? I'm expecting my 5 somewhen this week... smile

EDIT:
Just arrived. Took less than a week to Portugal.

The materials seem reliable, the glue is strong, won't peel off easily.
I noticed, though, that the composition might bring some problems. It is a strong material, the silver square, and then they paste a thin transparent plastic which has the logo on it. That plastic is the only thing that might peel off, but i've seen some vendors use this method, so it's probablly ok...

The corners/borders could be smoother to help prevent this, but that's no problem at all...

Re: Arch Case Badges

Hey guys,

There's going to be a bit of a delay shipping silver badges as we ran out. It'd be great if I could get a head count of how many people are still interested in receiving badges, especially silver ones so I know how many to reorder!

Haven't had a chance to order yet; I'm still interested in 3~4 silver badges.

Form should be in an iframe on the right side of the screen.

Thanks Dusty!

I use FF with NoScrip and therefore the iframe did not show (only the reference I  thought  it was an add of some kind)

Re: Arch Case Badges

Hey Dusty,

I just put an order for 3 silvers in before I read it far enough to realize that you have run out of them!

Hopefully that will just secure me 3 from the next batch, I don't mind waiting as my new laptop won't be here for 3 weeks anyway.

Thanks!

I will e-mail people who are going to be delayed once we figure out who is going to have to wait. You'll either get an e-mail from yon Simo saying 'yo dude you gots the shipment be in the mail' or from me saying 'sorry, we're going to be delayed a bit'. smile

Re: Arch Case Badges

Hi Dusty,

I have realised I *do* have a paypal account, last used in 2004, so can I please add 2 silver to your next order.

I will order for real on the sticker site right now!

Many thanks,

Diesel1.

Re: Arch Case Badges

Hi all,

Does anyone have any tips for removing Vista stickers from laptops?

I want my wife's laptop to be pure Arch, the one next to the keyboard has definately got to go.

Diesel1.

Sorry if this is not quite 'on topic' but it seems the perfect place to ask! big_smile

Re: Arch Case Badges

I pulled mine off very carefully (the adhesive is kinda stretchy/gummy usually). Try to get as much of it to stretch off with the metal if you can. The surface will still be somewhat tacky after you get it off, rubbing alcohol, possibly acetone (both may damage some plastics, watch out!), and keep rubbing at it like a maniac.

Re: Arch Case Badges

I used some of that orange oil based cleaner to remove mine. It worked well and didn't damage the finish on my HP Pavilion.

Thanks for your tips and pointers, I think the nuke idea is the one for me......if simply pulling it off doesn't work. smile

Re: Arch Case Badges

My shipment arrived today (Saturday) and all looks well. Note that the clear plastic on the silver badges is NOT what is printed, but that removing it is very difficult and will likely ruin the texture of the badge. Having said that, I much prefer the white ones, and I put both white and silver on my laptop. My skulltrail rig is next to get the Arch treatment. I'm thinking silver for the black thermaltake armor case.
