Hello!
Since last week, my Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG with driver ipw3945 crashes many times and force me to reboot system for 'unlock' the device. I connect it and uses normally, but after 10 minutes or less, the connection going down and device 'stuck/block'. I try to turn off, but wireless led don't turn off and therefore I must to reboot and connect again.
Here, some info from my notebook:

It was only a stupid conflict, at all. iwl3945 and ipw3945 are not good friends =~~

Try using iwl3945 instead. Here, I have got the same wireless card and I'm using the iwl3945 module.
