no idea what could've caused this, but here's the error i'm getting. if more info is needed, just ask
(eguerrero@hyp0luxa):[~]$ mozilla-firefox
The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)'.
(Details: serial 1488 error_code 9 request_code 55 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Did you compile gtk, glib by hand?, I had some trouble with gtk apps, when I compiled the libs with special optimizations.
And where were all the sportsmen who always pulled you though?
They're all resting down in Cornwall
writing up their memoirs for a paper-back edition
of the Boy Scout Manual.

You could try running it as root and then go back to the normal user. There was some bug about this on the mozillazine list I think. Maybe I am living in the past.

i get the same error running as root. i should mention that i tried deleting my ~/.mozilla/firefox directory, as well as removing the firefox package, deleting
/opt/mozilla-firefox, and re-syncing firefox. then i tried running a nightly binary from ftp.mozilla.org, and get the same error. any ideas?
