[Solved]vboxdrv & linux-uvc-svn missing dependency with the new kernel

I updated with pacman today and it says

:: virtualbox-modules: require kernel26<2.6.26
:: linux-uvc-svn: require kernel26<2.6.26

Then I just type: pacman -Sud. Updated finished and reboot. It says Module vboxdrv not found. But the file is still there.
Another problem is, that nvidia has broken. Even you cannot open nvidia-settings.

Re: [Solved]vboxdrv & linux-uvc-svn missing dependency with the new kernel

After this morning I 'pacman -Syu' and installed the catalyst driver 8.7.1. My Ati Mobility Radeon X1450 card became using indirect rendering. Also my vbox is broken too.

Re: [Solved]vboxdrv & linux-uvc-svn missing dependency with the new kernel

I got this awesome list :

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: gspcav1: requires kernel26<2.6.26
:: ipw3945: requires kernel26<2.6.26
:: lirc: requires kernel26<2.6.26
:: madwifi: requires kernel26<2.6.26
:: ndiswrapper: requires kernel26<2.6.26
:: nvidia: requires kernel26<2.6.26
:: qc-usb: requires kernel26<2.6.26
:: rt2500: requires kernel26<2.6.26
:: wlan-ng26: requires kernel26<2.6.26

so i'll think i'll just wait a bit :s

Hey!  The new catalyst 8.7-2 just fix my DRI problem. Now 3D direct rendering is working fine.  For the virtualbox problem, you just need to run /usr/bin/vbox_build_module again to make the new vboxdrv and everything is ok.

Re: [Solved]vboxdrv & linux-uvc-svn missing dependency with the new kernel

virtualbox-modules has been flagged out of date in community. The uvc driver is now included in kernel26.

revelc - it seems you got the new kernel without getting the updated module packages. Maybe your mirror wasn't fully synced. Try another -Syu in another few hours. BTW, do you really need five wireless drivers? yikes

yeah it works! reboot and rebuild the module for vbox:
# vbox_build_module
# modprobe vboxdrv

If you can't wait for the lirc package update: http://rapidshare.com/files/136573847/lirc.tar.gz.html
I used a patch from the gentoo ebuild. Now it works with kernel26.6.26.
