Kickoff menu does not update

I recntly upgraded to kde 4.1 and all my apps showed up in the kickoff menu. But now, whenever I install an application, it does not show up and even when i use the menu editor the changes do not show up. Is anyone else getting this problem?

i am starting to think that the reason for this is that i ran mmaker to make menus for openbox and now the menu no longer refreshes automatically.

I have the same problem. After installing applications, switch to Kickoff Menu Style, and then back to Classic Menu Style.

i've a problem that might be related. i've tried to change the icon on my firefox menu entry and when i press save the bar will go to about 5% and then the progress bar window closes. if i close the menu editor and enter it again, the icon is the old one again.

i just realized that I can edit menu entries but I cant change the icon, remove them, or add any more. Also, the file associations dont save properly. Maybe it is related.
