possible bug on booting 0.7 iso

Hi,

i tried to install from the new iso today but ran into a problem. After loading the modules the machine hangs up on

"Attempting to load USB HID support..."

I have an AMD 64 3000+, 1 GB Ram and an ASUS K8V-F Mainboard.

The old 0.6 iso worked for me, so I don't know if this is a bug or not but I can reconstruct the failure every time I try to boot.

Re: possible bug on booting 0.7 iso

Hi draetsch.

I have an AMD64 3200+. A number of Linux distributions have had installation problems with USB on AMD64 boards, although USB does seem to work properly once installation has been completed. I had ISB problems with the installation of the first AMD64 SuSE release.

What has worked for me and others is to try various kernel option (or turn off legacy USB 1.1 support in the BIOS):

nousb

-or-

idle=poll

Re: possible bug on booting 0.7 iso

Thanks for the fast reply, win.

It does not work though. I hope I have written the command correctly.

arch nousb
arch idle=poll

Both parameters can not prevent the hanging.
