hi everyone ,
after updating to the latest kernel this morning i first removed the virtualbox-modules package (which was conflicting with the kernel) and then rebuilt the vboxdrv module (modules are now built in; root: # vbox_build_module). the module builds and start without any errors. so far so good ...
module is built and running: afterwards i tried to add the user to the vboxusers group, which totally failed ... "group was not found" arrgh
i could give the user writing rights on /dev/vboxdrv, but i'm not sure if this is really clever~
best regards,
arch0r

Hi
When you say you rebuild the vboxdrv module [with vbox_build_module], how did you do it?
I have no vbox_build_module. Where can i get it? [which package?]
Thanks

hi, package was virtualbox_bin from the french repo. it's the closed source version of virtualbox
add to your /etc/pacman.conf following repo:
[archlinuxfr]
Server = http://repo.archlinux.fr/i686/
pacman -Sy virtualbox_bin
*after downloading the package, the already built module can be loaded with modprobe vboxdrv (add it to the modules queue in rc.conf)
*if not, build the module manually: vbox_build module
*add ur user to the vbox group: gpasswd -a user vboxusers
logout/login/reboot and run virtualbox afterwards :>
