Back Again, Need some Advice

Been gone from the Arch world for a long time and now im coming back, with diff hardware this time.
using AMD phenom and a ATi based Motherboard, are there any issues with these boards or CPUs under Nix'?
Or is it all covered for now.

I don't have the hardware to test in order to be sure, but you certainly shouldn't have any problems with the CPU, and generally motherboards don't cause problems either. If you have a reasonably new ATI graphics card you may be stuck with the catalyst drivers for 3D though, and I've had some difficulty with those. The good news is that the radeonhd driver just got DRI support for some cards in git, so once that's released there will be a few more cards which work with free drivers.

Really the only hardware that tends to cause problems is:
-graphics cards
-wireless cards
-really obscure stuff.

Yeah I am going to get a nvidia card i think as they seem more polished on the driver side of things and i know to to set it up already
