:: Starting Samba Server [BUSY]

Hi,

I've been getting strange behaviour from my linux box -- trying to start a samba daemon, but it fails to load, or actually it hangs saying:

:: Starting Samba Server                                [BUSY]

Any clues?

I've updated everything, and still to no avail.

thanks

Re: :: Starting Samba Server [BUSY]

Hi! I've the same problem too.
I've tried to reinstall samba's packet, but the problem still remains
It got stuck on launching samba with message : "Starting Samba Server ... BUSY".

I've figured out that it's launched smbd process and then nothing else
Anyone solved/had this problem??

Thanks

Re: :: Starting Samba Server [BUSY]

Quite good news.
Samba starts almost 10 min after i launch /etc/rc.d/samba start command

I don't know how this it's possible, I can't wait 10 minutes to put on my LAN

Any suggestions is appreciated:)
