laptop monitor changing brightness constantly

Hi, I don't even know where I should post this. I have a strange problem with my laptop and I want to make sure if it's a hardware issue (well, I hope it isn't).

It's a little hard for me to explain but my monitor is acting strange. The brightness is flickering. It goes up an down a bit in a second. Kind of like when a light bulb is dying. What could be the cause of this ?

It might be that the cables going between the screen and the body are pinched in the hinge section. Can you reproduce it by moving the screen along the hinge?

Hmm, it seems that you are correct. I tried moving it and I definitely think it stirred it up a little. So, is this something for warranty ?

If it's still under warranty, it would almost definitely be covered by your warranty.
