Re: Arch Case Badges

Hmm looks very cool. Any European users interested ? We could make a bigger request and that gives a lower price. Personally I'm from Hungary, but I think it doesn't matter at bigger numbers. (I mean few other people from Germany, or Austria, or whatever). (Sorry for the strange idea, I think this way it would worth it.)

Re: Arch Case Badges

As I already mentioned before: For people living in countrys with the Euro it's already almost as cheap as buying it directly in their own country, as the dollar is very weak at the moment. You will only save a few cents.

Re: Arch Case Badges

Hey all,

Just a heads up the replacement badges are on order. It'll take a week or so to print them and then we have to make sure we know where Simo is living so we can ship them to him. My earlier estimate of end of the month still seems accurate.

We still have white badges available if you want sooner shipping. I ordered more than twice as many silver as whites this time.

And if you want a Tux sticker, this site is about the only one i've found that sells them and supports paypal:

Re: Arch Case Badges

Hah, your first pic shocked me, it looked almost exactly like my laptop! I'll post pics later... I tried importing with digikam and it hardlocked the computer for some reason. I could REISUB but not SAK or Zap.

Hi Dusty,

I have tried to order 2 silver badges but do not know where I stand, are they 'on order' or do I just wait until you say "they are here, come and get 'em"?  I have only been charged for the white one, which I have received.

It looks really cool on the wife's laptop.

Thanks,

Diesel1.

EDIT: Thank you for contacting me Dusty and resolving my query.

Re: Arch Case Badges

I just received notification that the new batch of badges has been shipped. If the post office doesn't lose them, they should be arriving next week or so and Simo will start rolling out shipments again... assuming he's not too busy getting oriented for his first week of classes or (much worse) meeting random geekesses.

Re: Arch Case Badges

Just got my mate to order a few over to the North of England (No paypal here!).  Guessing there'll be quite a wait, but with Arch I'm too used to instant gratification!

Re: Arch Case Badges

Hey Dusty,

I put in an order a couple weeks ago for a couple silver badges but they ran out. Should I place another order? Or is mine still in the "system" ?

thanks! can't wait to slap one on the new laptop.

Your order is still in the system and you've already paid; Simo will ship them when he sobers up.

Re: Arch Case Badges

All badge shipments paid thru tomorrow will be going out tomorrow or thursday, whenever time allows me to sit down and get it done. Just a heads up.

EDIT: let's make that thursday. I was just forced to stand outside from 1-4am because of some fire alarm/supression mishaps in my building. ugh.

Re: Arch Case Badges

Just got my 10 - they've probably been near here for a little while though as we've had a few troubles with the new postman.

Perfect timing as well - I'm just off to our LUG big_smile

Great quality, your efforts are truely appreciated guys. If only I could post beer by airmail!
