Gnome commander problem

Gnome commander stopped working recently. It throws me an error to the console that a shared library: libexiv2 is missing. Anybody might know what it's all about?

Re: Gnome commander problem

You can fix that by rebuilding the gnome-commander package using ABS.  It might also be a good idea to report this in the community section of the bug tracker or by getting in touch with the package maintainer by email.

Re: Gnome commander problem

I just reinstalled Arch and this also happened to me. Gnome commander is not working at all. Is there any really good alternative to Gnome-commander out there?

Re: Gnome commander problem

Gnome-commander works well. Just recompile it. If you like you can also bump the pkgver to the rececent release number. Gives more features for remote filesystems wink

Re: Gnome commander problem

urgh. linking or even copying libs is crap. there's always a reason why the .so name has changed. usually the API moved forward and is not compatible in all places.

Re: Gnome commander problem

Hey AndyRTR, could you please explain yourself. How do I bump the pkgver. You mean download the latest version from GC's website and recompile it from there?
Can I pacman -U that?
