Iv been researching for weeks now, I have literally read every post about it. Iv come to the conclusion that I need to ask for help. Im sure u guy have heard it a million times befor, Its about my wireless card. The card is a bcmwl6. I am aware that its a vista driver and wont work with linux. With that said I decided to go with the bcmwl5 driver that everyone seems to have luck with. I install the driver all goese well and then "bcmwly-driver installed" but no hardware detected and no wlan option. I have literally tried every bcmwl5 I can find and It just wont work. I cant really finish my install with th system becuase I dont have a legit connection. The good part about this is that I have learned a lot in the past couple weeks about my system just by trying to troubleshoot this card. Im going to give it one last try and I was wondering if I could get some help- Thank you
ps-when I ndiswrapper -i bcmwl6.inf I actually get "driver installed" and "hardware present" but no wlan after modprobe.

This is the XP driver for bcmwl6:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/soft … 28&lang=en
Download it and do this:
cabextract 34152.exe
After that, you should see the bcmwl6 file and you can ndiswrapper it.

I just tried it. I can't seem to find the bcmwl6.inf. I did however find a bcmwl5.inf tho. So I tried the bcmwl5 for the heck of it and im still stuck with driver installed but no hardware present. When I do a quick lspsci I actually get-- network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g (rev01)

It might help to see your output of 'dmesg | tail' right after you ndiswrapped things.
