JACK problems

Hi!
I don't know when this happened, but now when I'm using jack I can't use duplex anymore, I have to choose either playback or capture. Other settings are as before, that is JACK standard settings. They've always worked before.
Now all I get is this:

22:23:14.849 XRUN callback (1).
22:23:16.789 XRUN callback (16 skipped).
22:23:18.819 XRUN callback (17 skipped).
22:23:20.849 XRUN callback (16 skipped).
22:23:22.887 XRUN callback (16 skipped).

Eventually jackd crashes and takes qjackctl with it. It doesn't matter whether I start jackd from the console or not.

Any ideas?
