OpenOffice.org fonts not anti-aliasing

I've searched the forums and wiki and google, but cannot find a good answer or fix.

My system fonts are properly anti-aliased using every other application (even Firefox and Thunderbird!). OpenOffice however, seems to insist on using it's internal code. I've been trying both the 2.4 and the 3.0 beta 3 in the repos. Not sure what I've missed.

It's almot ugly enough to drive me back to KOffice. (Although I've switched to XFCE...)

Re: OpenOffice.org fonts not anti-aliasing

I've experimented a bit more. It's something to do with XFCE. Not sure what though. If I run just soffice in X (or use icewm) the fonts seem to render fine. However, in XFCE they don't.
