Please add klibc-module-init-tools as a DEPENDENCY to kernel26

I needed round 7h to figure why the damnit kernel is not loading modules and I am not able to boot on any harddrive.
Thats because initramfs wasn't able to load any driver ..

upgrading klibc-module-init-tools fixed it.

Please add it as a dependency to the kernel.

Firstly, welcome to the forums.

Secondly, the forums is not the place to file such requests.  The bug tracker is.

But by the sounds of what you wrote, you had a partially updated system.  Only the packages versions currently in the repos are supported so you need to either keep your system fully up to date or deal with problems caused by conflicting package versions yourself.

ah ... ok ..
anyway things would have gone easier for me if just that packages was a dependency

On second thoughts, don't take me be grumpy as a reason not to file a bug report.    

It is probably worth having the dependency in the kernel package saying that a particular version of klibc-module-init-tools is needed.
