kernel don't panic

Hi.

I have recently installed archlinux on my machine by network instalation.
Since then I am running and I can't get rid of the " don't panic " kernel.

I have updated the databases and all but shoudn't it change by default?

Regards,
/Dex.

Re: kernel don't panic

Have you fully updated you system (running "pacman -Syu").   There was an update to the initscrpits package which removes the codename ("Don't Panic") text during bootup.

Re: kernel don't panic

You can edit /etc/issue and replace (Don't Panic) with whatever you like.  Here is one possibility:  http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=50845.
