We have made a special edition of our live install CD for FrOSCon 2008 (an open source conference this weekend). It's available via Bittorrent: http://linuxtracker.org/index.php?page= … ed9ff40c16 So please keep seeding to decrease the load of our Server.
This ISO has some special features:
* both architectures (i686 and x86_64) on one ISO image
* snapshot of [core] dated august 18th 2008
* use German keymap and timezone settings in grub and live environment by default
* Added some more packages to the live environment:
base-devel (gcc, make, patch etc.)
bash-completion
htop
irssi
lm_sensors
mc
pacman-contrib
rsync
screen
smartmontools
sshfs
testdisk
vpnc
zsh
* some workaround to avoid an out-of-memory bug when using pacman
Don't worry about the German defaults mentioned above; the default language is still english and if you need another keyboard layout or timezone you can use km or tz to adjust this settings. In addition to this you could edit the grub entries. Among that its a normal liv install CD with only official packages; means no special patches ;-)
Make sure to check the md5sum before use: 6abc443cfedde74f150bbb902da15bb5

I take that back, I tried to d/l the torrent and it would not finish downloading, got stuck at 99.9% longer then it took to d/l the 99.9%.
Is anyone else having issues?

Downloaded fine here, got some awesome 3MB/s speeds too. Maybe you could try re-downloading the torrent.

Working fine here too.

I have setup rtorrent at archlinux.de (limited to 4MByte/s) so it should allways be available. Maybe a tracker or client problem?

I just find it funny that you list default german keymap as a "special feature"
Offline
What it makes a "special feature" is that the german keymap is set as the default ;-)

Yes, took us several days to implement that cool feature. ;-)
